Ministry Mentors President/Executive Director Search
Ministry Mentors, an independent, ecumenically diverse, orthodox Christian
organization, is seeking a new President/Executive Director. Our mission is to
enhance the professional effectiveness of clergy, strengthen their personal and
spiritual health, and affirm their gifts for ministry. We have a deep respect
for and a desire to encourage those who are called by God to serve as a
pastor. We are a growing ministry, one that impacts the lives of pastors, their
families, and the body of Christ through local congregations. While concentrated
in Illinois, we have a national reach, widespread acceptance among all major
denominations, and unlimited potential. • Have a deep love for the Christian church and experience serving as ordained clergy in parish ministry. • Love to engage and motivate others through the written word, public speaking, and face-to-face meetings. • Be self-starters who value collaboration and enable others to be part of the story. • Be grounded strategic thinkers who are able to see projects through to their completion, including working with others to achieve goals. • Be experienced fundraisers who have successfully asked others to invest in a vision or cause that you believe in.
The Ministry Mentors President, in collaboration with the Board, sets strategic
direction, establishes success metrics, and leads the growth efforts of the
organization, maintaining and continuously improving the excellence of the
mentoring program. She/He represents the organization publicly through speaking,
writing, and face-to-face meetings and actively seeks to advance and grow
Ministry Mentors. And, in conjunction with the Board, the President raises the
necessary funds to sustain and grow the organization. We offer an attractive
salary for this 25-30 hour per week position. • Have at least 7-10 years of experience serving as ordained clergy in parish ministry as well as experience moving complex organizations forward. • Have experience with nonprofit organizations (other than churches) in either a board or staff role. • Be a strategic thinker as well as tactical implementer, able to prioritize among competing goals.
• Have experience managing people and budgets, including demonstrated
success working as • Demonstrate significant experience raising funds for ministry and/or charity, including building relationships that lead to financial support. Have a heart for pastors and a passion for the mission of Ministry Mentors
